Member of the American Bar, New York Bar, New Jersey Bar, American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) since 1999, Joan Xie has more than twenty years of legal experience and has successfully handled thousands of cases, including immigration working visas O, P, H, L, green card application, naturalization, etc. She is also an excellent litigation attorney who has handled thousands of cases in the immigration courts around the United States, the Second Circuit Court, the Supreme Court of New York, etc. Born in Shanghai, China, Joan Xie studied at Shanghai Jiaotong University. In 1988, she moved to the United States to study, later graduated from Baruch College with an MBA, and Fordham Law School with a JD. In 1999, as a member of the human rights observer team of the United Nations, Joan Xie received a distinguished award for her service. She was a host of the popular talk show in immigration law on Chinese Radio Network WGBB AM1240. Joan Xie is also an accomplished writer and poet, and an author of eight published books.
